Southern University hires Marshall Faulk as head coach

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Southern University has found its head coach.
NFL Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk will be SU’s next leader. A source told 9Sports that “the deal is done.”
After a year as Colorado’s running backs coach, Faulk will head to Baton Rouge for his first-ever head coaching job.
An official announcement is planned for Monday, December 1.
A little over a week ago, university officials traveled to Boulder to interview the New Orleans native. A source also told 9Sports that a major university donor spearheaded the move to bring Faulk back to his home state.
Southern has one more game left in this regular season as they will face Grambling State in the Bayou Classic on Saturday at 1 p.m.
