Tottenham Hotspur refused an offer for the Manchester City Savinho striker this summer.

They hope to sign the Brazilian before closing the summer transfer window. The player needs a regular game to cement his place in the Brazilian national team for the next World Cup. Manchester City will not be able to provide him with this platform, and the spurs movement could be ideal for him.

Spurs to come back with an improved offer

According to Fichajes, Tottenham is not willing to abandon the player, and they are ready to raise their offer in order to get closer to the requests from Manchester City.

The first League giants would be held at the expense of around 70 to 80 million pounds sterling for the Brazilian. It’s a lot of money for a player who is not a guaranteed starter for them. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham is ready to pay. Their initial offer was nearly 60 million pounds sterling.

Daniel Levy does not have the reputation of paying too much for the players, and he will want to sign the player for a reasonable sum of money. It will be interesting to see how the situation is developing.

The spurs need more quality and depth on the sides, and the South American would be the ideal long-term acquisition. He has the quality of becoming a high -level player with good advice, and he could justify investment in the future. It remains to be seen if Tottenham is ready to break the bank for him.

They need quality additions to put pressure for major trophies this season. They managed to win the UEFA Europa League last season, and they will try to rely on this. They will put pressure for a place in the top four of the Premier League after finishing in the lower half of the league table last season.
