Tottenham now initiate contact to sign Kenan Yıldız ahead of Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur have now made contact to sign an attacking target ahead of their main rivals Arsenal, according to reports.

The Lilywhites have everything to do during the January transfer window. Thomas Frank has not yet won over fans, both thanks to the results and thanks to his sometimes more pragmatic style. The transfer window, however, offers the Dane the ideal opportunity to take a step forward before it is too late.

Above all, they need an offensive addition. Although Dominic Solanke is still fighting to make his first appearance under Frank, there is no guarantee he will be the one to solve Spurs’ problems.

The same can be said about Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani, who have scored two goals and eight goals respectively so far this season.

The solution could therefore lie in the transfer market and potentially in Germany following recent reports that they are pursuing Yan Diomande. The young winger has had an excellent campaign so far, standing out and becoming a key target for several teams.

If Spurs want to finally replace the impact of Heung-min Son, then signing a winger who has scored seven goals and created four more in all competitions would certainly go a long way.

Add in Kenan Yildiz and Frank’s offense suddenly looks a lot more promising. According to TuttoJuve, relayed by Sport Witness, Tottenham have now made contact to sign Yildiz before Arsenal in 2026.

The north London rivals are reportedly in a fierce battle to sign the Juventus star, but Tottenham are hoping their contact will put them ahead of Arsenal.

Yildiz would ignite the Tottenham front line

The 20-year-old has reportedly posed a real dilemma for Juventus with his wage demands in excess of £5m per season. Arsenal and Tottenham, however, would have no problem paying the versatile winger’s asking price.

Given his ability to play as both a winger and a No.10, the 20-year-old could be the player to finally breathe life into Spurs’ attack, especially alongside summer signing Xavi Simons. The Dutchman is starting to show signs of his best, but his red card against Liverpool was undoubtedly a setback.

The numbers speak for Yildiz. Although Juventus struggled to return to their former best form, he performed impressively.

With nine goals to his name in Serie A this season, the Turkish striker is more than ready to establish himself elsewhere and has certainly justified a pay rise.

The big question is whether Spurs can fend off Arsenal’s interest. The last thing they need is to see a key target join their rivals again.
