Tottenham Hotspur announces the departure of executive president Daniel Levy

Tottenham Hotspur announces that Daniel Levy has left his role as executive president today after almost 25 years.
Tottenham Hotspur was transformed during the last quarter of a century. He has played in European competitions in the last 18 of the 20 seasons, becoming one of the most recognized football clubs in the world, constantly investing in his academy, his players and his facilities, including a new world class stadium and a advanced training center. The club also regularly participated in the highest level, taking advantage of a certain number of fantastic successes on the field, including the recent victory of the Europa League Cup.
As part of its succession planning, the club has made a certain number of senior appointments in recent months. Vinai Venkatesham was hired as Managing Director (CEO), with Thomas Frank as our new male chief coach and Martin Ho as a female chief coach. Peter Charrington joined the board of directors and will begin the newly created role of the non -executive president.
All this is part of the club’s ambition to make sure it is configured to provide long -term sporting success.
Daniel Levy said: “I am incredibly proud of the work I have accomplished with the management team and all our employees. We have built this club in a world heavyweight in competition at the highest level. More than that, we have built a community. I had the chance to work with some of the biggest people over the years.
“I want to thank all the fans who have supported me over the years. It has not always been an easy trip, but significant progress has been made. I will continue to support this club passionately.”
Peter Charrington, non -executive president, said: “I am very honored to become a non -executive president of this extraordinary club and, on behalf of the board of directors, I would like to thank Daniel and his family for their commitment and their loyalty to the club in so many years.
“This is a new era of leadership for the club, on and off the field. I recognize that there have been many changes in recent months when we are setting up new foundations for the future. We are now fully focused on the stability and empowerment of our talented people through the club, led by Vinai and her management team. ”
There is no change in the property or structure of the shareholders of the club.
