Tom Cruise says he “suggested” Nicole Kidman for a large role of eye closure

Tom Cruise still talks a lot about ex-wife Nicole Kidman, even almost 25 years after their divorce.

During a recent interview with View and sound (via The independent), the actor watched his 1999 film, Eyes widenedAnd how he recommended Kidman to be interpreted as Alice Harford in the erotic thriller led by Stanley Kubrick, opposite his Dr. Bill Harford.

“I stole at home and landed in his backyard. I read the script the day before and we spent the day talking about it. I knew all his films,” he recalls. “Then it was fundamentally him and I know. And when we did that, I suggested that Nicole played the role [of Alice]. Because, of course, she is a great actress.

Cruise was particularly passionate about the film because he also said to Kubrick: “Anyway [to make the movie]We are going to do it ”, despite the fact that it pulls much longer than expected.
