Tom Brady plans to play alongside the current and former NFL stars in a three-team football tournament in Saudi Arabia next year, the Super Bowl’s winning quarterrm said on Monday.
The Fanatics Flag Football Classic on March 21 in Kingdom Arena in Riyadh will also understand Saquon Barkley, Ceedee Lamb, Christian McCaffrey, Maxx Crosby and Rob Gronkowski, among others.
Pete Carroll de Las Vegas, Sean Payton from Denver and Kyle Shanahan from San Francisco will be the coaches.
Brady joins Turki Alashikh, president of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, to promote the event. The actor Kevin Hart will be the host.
“It is a multi -year commitment,” said Brady, owner of a minority of Las Vegas raiders. “Obviously, we take a good start.
“The first year will be somehow where everyone’s attention and energy is. This is the first time that we have done something like that, but all the players I spoke to are delighted to play.
“Obviously, with the Olympic Games to come in 2028, I think that is the first exhibition of the NFL players, and I didn’t want to fail to be part of this.”
Flag Football will make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles Games in three years. NFL players should be a large part of the American list, but USA Football looks beyond the country’s most popular league while looking for potential players.
Alashikh, who attended the press conference on Monday with Brady, was already in Las Vegas because he was one of the upheaval victory promoters of Terence Crawford against Canelo Alvarez on Saturday evening at the Raiders Allegiant Stadium.
Gronkowski said Brady had asked him to be part of the Football Drapeau event.
