The DHS seems to have pissed off a federal judge in one of the many current disputes concerning the evisceration of a large part of the federal government. This is brought – ironically – by Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights against the DHS and concerns the DHS closing several obligatory offices of statutes which monitor the processing of people in detention of the DHS (which of course includes custody of ice). You can say why Trump wants to abolish these offices. This is the substance. But the technical problem is just as important and it is the one that applies to things that happen through the federal government.
