“Tired” denies being “cheat” after the bizarre period dq on bmw pga

The veteran Pro Marcel Siem did not have a good day on Thursday at the BMW PGA 2025 championship. But the winner of the World Tour six times has worsened a lot in the striker’s tent after his round, where he alerted those responsible for the rules of his bizarre actions on the 18th hole – then was disqualified.
Give the strange nature of his DQ, Siem went to social networks Thursday evening to carefully explain the situation and deny that he had cheated.
Here’s what you need to know.
Marcel Siem Dq’d after the violation of rules at BMW PGA
Siem is coming to the first round of the BMW PGA championship at 2:40 a.m.. After a disappointing season which in 72nd in the Dubai classification, Siem hoped that a good week in Wentworth would improve its position.
But these hopes were destroyed early. Siem opened with a bogey on the 1st hole by 4 after losing its starting stroke directly in a trees stand. This first stroke would prove to foreshadow to come.
The Bogeys at 3 and 4 followed, and he closed the nine before with another square on his dashboard for a 39.

Things were a little better for SIEM on the nine rear, where he exchanged two birdies for two Bogeys until 15. But his seventh Bogey arrived at the 16th.
When he arrived at his last hole of the day, the 18th hole per-5 of Wentworth, he was five years old. Even an unlikely eagle would not be able to save its tournament.
The 18th is a Dogleg right, with t-shirts that go up on the right side. Halfway through the hole, a risk of water from the stream crosses the fairway and continues the right side of the hole to the green.
In a mirror of his first shot of the day, Siem lost his journey on 18 well on the right. Then, even if there were no out -of -limit markers on the right, Siem hit a provisional tee.
He then continued to play his provisional, finishing the hole with a 6 after a coup and distance penalty was applied for hitting his tee shit
But when Siem left the marker’s tent a few minutes later, his Six-Plus 78 had turned into disqualification.
So what exactly happened on the 18th who led to a DQ? Fortunately, Siem shared a video explanation on Instagram Thursday evening which provided an essential context for the bizarre situation of the rules.
Siem explains the error: “I didn’t cheat”
In his video confession, Siem started by declaring in a conspicuous manner that he “did not cheat”.
“Hey guys, I just wanted to give you a quick overview of what happened today. I just wanted to let you know that I had not cheated. I would never do that, so I am disqualified, unfortunately,” said SIEM in the video.
He then carried out a detailed account of the 18th holes incident from his point of view.
Siem said he wrongly believed that there was an OB on the right of the 18th hole. This is why he chose to hit a provisional rather than walking and looking for his first TEE shot.
“On the 18th, I pushed my driver to the right, I struck a provisional, thinking that he is out of the limits on the right. I never knew that it was a risk of water on the right. Anyway, I found my provisional,” he explained.

It is at this moment that history takes another strange turn.
Siem said that before hitting his second blow with his provisional ball, the spectators alerted him that they had found his first starting stroke. It was not out of limits, but rather rested in a wooded area just before the risk of water or in danger.
Then Siem, who later admitted that he was “tired all day” at that time, chose to take his first starting stroke and continue playing his provisional.
I was about to hit my provisional, so my fourth blow … and one of the spectators found my ball, my first. I got there, tired all day. And the ball was under the branch, I couldn’t find out. I said, okay, it’s inffligible. “I got used to it, came stuck with my second ball, so to speak, made a Bogey.”
SIEM’s choice to play his provisional was a clear violation of the rules. If his initial shot was in the risk of water, as he said later, he should not have hit a provisional whole.
Instead, he should have been looking for his first ball, and by finding him, either relieving himself according to the yellow or red rules, or took a stroke and returned to the TEE to hit his third blow.
In the marker’s tent, Siem suddenly made his mistake, as he explained in the video.
“Then we entered the score area, signed. I was about to sign my card, and I just realized that something left here.” The guys, I don’t think I made a 6, call a referee, “said Siem.
He then explained the situation to the civil servant, resulting in his disqualification.
“I said, guy, I think I made a mistake here, right? I’m supposed to return to the 18th T-shirt and play my third blow, right? Because it’s a risk of water, and if I declared without play, I had to go back and I can’t hit my provisional balloon,” recalls Siem.
He continued: “So this was the case, so I am disqualified because of this. Two strange, very overwhelming weeks. That’s what it is, the guys. I just wanted to tell you what happened.”
As for an explanation of the reason why an experienced Pro could make such an obvious mistake in a professional event, Siem did not have much to offer.
He concluded his video saying: “Sometimes you can’t explain things in life. All good. Have a nice evening.”
