Timothee Chalamet and EsDeeKid release ‘4 Raws’ remix: listen

Timothée Chalamet still isn’t the mysterious British rapper EsDeeKid, but the two are now officially collaborators.

In an extremely casual surprise release on Friday, December 19 – cleverly timed with the release of Chalamet’s new film, Marty Supreme – the actor hopped on a remix of EsDeeKid’s “4 Raws.” In his extremely useful, very goofy and funny verses, Chalamet throws out outrageous bars like: “I got some model sluts in Peckham/My name is Ryan Reynolds in Wrexham/I just have fun sexting” and “My life is an opera, watch the Oscars, watch the groupies, watch the movies.” »

And lest you dare think he doesn’t know exactly what he’s doing, Chalamet begins his verse with a nod to his real Longtime hip-hop alter ego: Lil’ Timmy Tim.

Liverpool native EsDeeKid has enjoyed an impressive rise in recent years, thanks to tracks like ‘Bally’ and his debut album, Rebelarriving in June and featuring hits like “LVV Sandals” and “Phantom.” EsDeeKid, who always wears a balaclava, managed to keep his real identity a secret all this time, which is how rumors began circulating in November that he may have been Chalamet in disguise.

Of course, the evidence was scant, but that didn’t stop speculation. Among the reasons given were: Chalamet attended a concert by Fakemink, a frequent collaborator of EsDeeKid; Chalamet likes rap music; and he would do something like fake a Scouse accent and pretend to be a British rapper.

The rumors inevitably reached Chalamet, and the actor obviously leaned into them. Asked about it during a British radio interview last month, Chalamet replied coyly: “I haven’t received any comments on this… All will be revealed in due course.” ” Which, in retrospect, now seems like a pretty obvious tease for the “4 Raws” remix.

My friends, Hollywood’s biggest press tour operator has done it again.
