Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim write a horror script

Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, the alternative comedy duo behind the show of Tim and Eric Awesome Show of Adult Swim, Great Job! “Experience in a new genre. Heideker revealed on Wednesday during the premiere of” Him “that he and Wareheim are currently writing a horror scenario – and that their foray in the field could prove as shocking as their comedy.
When asked if there were future “Tim and Eric” projects in the pipeline, Heideker replied: “We actually write a horror film that will be much more sick than most people will not want to watch.”
Since Tim and Eric are known for their key, irreverent and, indeed, sometimes the sensible humor, it is logical that their efforts in a different genre will also support the limits. Heidecker was sparse on the details concerning the project, providing no other comments on the plot, tone or stage of development, but by noting frankly: “We will see if it is done.”
Despite his comedy roots, Heideker is already developing horror filmography in front of the camera. In “Him”, a new sporting horror thriller by director Justin Tipping, Heideker plays the agent of the quarter protagonist. He also played a leading role in “US” by Jordan Peele in 2019. Peele also served as a producer on “Him”, proving his interest in gender.
During the first, Heideker admitted: “I am not a big horror fanatic, but when they are really well done and when they have a message where they have something to say, I always appreciate that.” Ironically, Tim and Eric’s comedy is obviously absurd, defying any notion of message. However, the values of the actor can change depending on the genre. After all, “Key & Peele” was silly, but Peele provides deep messages in its horror characteristics. Similarly, Zach Cregger began to make daring jokes on “the white children you know”, but today, the public still unpacks the layers of meaning behind “barbarian” and “weapons”.
Could Heidecker and Wareheim be the next ones as actors who have become masters on suspense? It would be the second feature film of the duo, after “Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie” of 2012.
