Video premium adapts dan turèll ‘murder in the dark’ for the release in 2026

EXCLUSIVE: Murder in the dark arrives at the privileged video. The Streamer ordered a four -part series based on the series of books on the Influential Danish literary icon Dan Turèll.

Sam Productions and Amazon MGM Studios produce. Their point of view on history lasts on a journalist and an unnamed investigator will put the action to the present day.

Turèll’s Books Inspired 1986 Movie Murder in the dark With the musician and actor Michael Falch playing the main role, a role he will resume in the new series. The shooting is now underway in Copenhagen, Denmark and we can share an exclusive image of the first look (see the main photo).

Murder in the dark Follows an “unnamed journalist” with retired and harshly divided (Falch) and his daughter Sophie, who is an ambitious police detective. The two are forced work together to resolve a series of mysterious murders. More specifically, their alliance begins after an eminent lawyer was brutally killed, shortly after agreeing to reveal secrets of his criminal past in a revealing book that Falch was going to write.

Prime presented its next show as “a series of crimes with a rapid rhythm with a pinch of dark humor, filled with eccentric characters covering all generations and social classes”.

Alongside Falch, the cast also includes Alex Høgh Andersen (Vikings), Katinka Lærke Petersen (I love you for the moment), Sofie Torp (Carmen Curlers), Lisbeth Wulff (The castle), Kristian Halken (Novel), Alexandre Willaume (Tomb Raider), Clint Ruben (The graves), and Benedikte Hansen (The bath hotel).

Christian E. Christiansen directs a script he wrote with Jesper Fink. The series will be launched on Prime Video in 2026.
