Tigres Femenil to face ny / nj Gotham FC in the final of the CONCACAF WAL champions cup on May 24 and Estadio Universasis in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Mexico

Nuevo Leon, Mexico – Concacaf confirmed that Tigres Femén (Mexico) and NY / NY / NJ Gotham FC (United States) will compete in the Champions Cup final Concacaf W. The match in a single leg, which will crown the very first champion of the Confederation Women’s Club, should start at 10:00 p.m. HE (8:00 p.m. local time) at Estadio Universitio at Nuevo León, Mexico.
In addition to being crowned the best female club in the region, the tournament champion will win a place in the new FIFA 2026 women’s champions cup and the FIFA 2028 FIFA Club World Cup.

The semi-finals of the tournament took place on Wednesday May 21, 2025. In the first match of the day, Gotham FC won a 3-1 victory against Club America Femenil. The NWSL team took an advance from 1-0 to the 21st minute when Geyse scored in a corner. MIDGE PURCE extended the advance with a penalty in the 30th minute, and three minutes later, a goal from America made it 3-0. Irene Guerrero reduced the deficit to 3-1 in the 38th minute. With the victory, the Gotham FC went to the final.
Later in the evening, Tigres Femenil won a 2-0 victory on the Portland Thorns FC. Aaliyah Farmer scored in the 11th minute, heading for a corner kick. The South African striker Thembi Kgatlana doubled his head in the 28th minute, sealing the Place des Tigres in the final on Saturday.
The losing semi-finalists, Club America Femenil and Portland Thorns FC, will play in the match of third place at 7:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. local time).
Fans of the whole region and the world will be able to follow and take advantage of the W-champions CUP finals on the Confederation television partners, including CBS Paramount +sports platforms, CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network (English) and ESPN Deportes (Spanish) in the United States. In Canada, matches will be available on a soccer. For Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, the matches will be broadcast on ESPN.
The inaugural edition of the Concacaf W Champions Cup included 11 of the best clubs in North America, Central America and the Caribbean, and started in August from last year with a single leg game in which Vancouver Whitecaps FC (CAN) beat Alianza Women FC (SLV) 1-0. With the victory, the Whitecaps head for the group phase, ending group B.
The group phase has seen 10 clubs – three from NWSL (United States), three from Liga MX (Mexico), and one of each of the domestic leagues in Canada, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Panama – divided into two groups of five clubs each, with each club playing once playing at each group in their group. The group phase of five weeks took place from late August to mid-October.
At the end of the group phase, the two best teams of each group qualified for the final of the CONCACAF Champions Cup. The finals are made up of four games (semi-final, third game and final), all taking place in Estadio Universitio in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. This historic place houses Tigres Femén and has welcomed many matches and competitions from the CONCACAF national elite team.
