Three injured in Times Square shooting; Alleged daycare, 17 years old, in detention

Three people, including a 65 -year -old man, were hospitalized early Saturday after a Trigerman teenager exploded to a rival of Times Square, officials said.
NYPD officers watching the crossroads of the world who heard the shots ran and apprehended the alleged shooter, a 17 -year -old boy, after the 1:20 am shooting at the corner of W. 44th St. and the eighth avenue.
Accusations against the suspect were pending on Saturday.
The teenager was arguing with a 19 -year -old man in the area when he pulled a firearm and started shooting, hitting the older teenager at the foot, police said.
Balles also struck an 18 -year -old girl, scraping her neck, and a 65 -year -old man standing nearby, who was hit in the left side, said cops.
It was not immediately clear if one of the victims was together when the shooting started.
EMS took the three to Bellevue Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.
The shooter’s firearm was recovered on the scene, said cops.
Saturday’s blood effusions occur while the NYPD celebrates a 23% drop in shots this year from 649 to 500 last Sunday, said cops. The homicides also fell by 25%, against 241 this time last year at 179, according to statistics from the NYPD.
