Threats under investigation in universities in the Baltimore region

The university officials of the Baltimore region are investigating the threats received Tuesday morning on their campuses. The president of the university, Mark Ginsberg, sent a letter to the campus community, affirming in part: “We have learned that it was not an isolated incident, because other universities of our region and the country have also received similar messages. Anyone with information is requested to call the University of Towson’s police service at 410-704-4444.
The Morgan State University said it had received a threat by email which indicated a possible explosive device at the Richardson library. The officials evacuated the library while the police inspected each floor.
“We urge all members of the campus community to stay away from the Richardson library until further notice or until a total has been issued.
Morgan State said at 11:30 a.m. around 2:30 p.m. that the “clear” had been given after the technicians of the police bomb and the dogs swept the Richardson library.
The library has reopened and university officials said that no credible threat had been found.

The Delaware State University also said that it had received a threat from bomb just before 11 a.m., DSU canceled the courses and evacuated academic buildings.
