The 25-year-old New Zealand cricket national team that strikes the versatile Rachin Ravira was excluded from the next T20i against the Australian Cricket National Cricket team.
Rachin Ravira will miss the T20i series of the Chappell-Hadlee trophy against the Australians after having undergone an earlier injury during a training session on the ground.

New Zealand and Australia are expected to lock the horns with each other in a T20i series of three games on October 1, 3 and 4 in Mount Maunganui.

However, before the series, they lost several players because of the injuries, the last being Rachin Ravira, who experienced a big race with the T20is bat in 2025, marking four scores of more than 30 in the last five outings.
Before Rachin Ravirandi, Mitchell Santner (abdominal injury), Will O’Rourke (rear), Glenn Phillips (groin), Finn Allen (foot), Adam Milne (ankle) and Lockie Ferguson (ischio-whiters) also suffered injuries.
Meanwhile, in an official declaration published by NZC, it was mentioned that the young versatile collided with a hoarding of the perimeter limit during the practice of implementation. Even if Rachin succeeded in concussion tests, he underwent facial laceration, which required suture points and will take time to heal.
Kiwi’s head coach Rob Walter said they were disappointed to lose Rachin Ravira for the series and hope he is in good shape for the next England series. He said:
“We are all really disappointed for Rachin to be forced to miss the series. He suffered a major laceration in his upper lip and nose area which required specialized and complex seams and will take time to cure.
“Rachin is obviously an important player for us, but his health and well-being are our top priority, and the decision was therefore made to send him home to recover with one eye to be available for the England series in two weeks.”
James Nesham replaces Rachin Ravira on the team
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has appointed James Neesham to replace Rachin Ravira in the T20i team for the Australia series.
Speaking of this, Rob Walter praised the versatile rhythm and said that he brings a plethora of experience with himself who will help the Chappell-Hadlee trophy team. He said:
“We are fortunate to be able to call on Jimmy who brings all his experience and his versatile abilities. It will be a big night in the bay and I know that we are all impatient to obtain the Chappell-Hadlee in progress. ”

In an official statement published by the NZC, Sir Richard Hadlee said that having a trophy named after him is an immense honor and advised the team led by Michael Bracewell to perform well and bring the trophy home.
“It is an immense honor to have the trophy in my last name and it is great to hear that the players still appreciate it,” said Hadlee.
“In any sport between New Zealand and Australia, rivalry is still there and this is certainly the case for cricket given the story between the sides. We have always been a slightly underestimated team and we have to lift our game to have the best of the biggest brother.”
“The message for Michael Bracewell and the team to play without fear. There should no longer be fear against Australia – this kind of thing has disappeared and being the best you have to beat the best.”
