China has made the national priority to catch up with the 8,000 Satellites of the Internet supply of SpaceX in low orbit, which considers a military threat. Despite the successes in other parts of its space program, China has only 124 satellites providing the Internet in orbit on a low land. Selam Gebrekidian, New York Times investigative journalist, explains why China is lagging behind in this new space race.
