The other day, I made the comment to a friend that I am tired of writing necrologies. There were too much this year demanding to document. I would prefer to write baby announcements.
The last one came on August 11, 2025, when the pioneer of the music of Jesus, Chuck Girard, died. It took me more time than the expected, but I finally finished assembling a Cephas Hour Podcast dedicated to Girard’s music both with the group Love Song and as a solo artist. In addition, the show includes two very recent songs and a brand new song by the superbly talented pop artist of CCM Rosalie Hovencamp, whose music you can explore on his YouTube channel and on his website.

And so we know and count on the love that God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in them. This is how love is rendered among us so that we have confidence in the day of judgment: in this world, we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love pushes fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
We like it because he loved us first.

May the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because as members of a body, you have been called to peace. And be grateful. And whatever you do, whether in words or in action, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, thanking God the Father through him.

After being made alive, he went and proclaimed the imprisoned spirits – to those who were disobedient a long time ago when God patiently waited at the time of Noah during the construction of the ark. There are only a few people, eight in all, were saved in the water, and this water symbolizes the baptism which now saves you too – not the elimination of the dirt from the body but the promise of a clear consciousness towards God. This saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who entered the sky and which is to the right of God – with angels, authorities and powers.

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be not informed by those who sleep in death, so that you do not cry like the rest of humanity, which has no hope. For we believe that Jesus is dead and has increased again, and we therefore believe that God will bring with Jesus those who fell asleep in Him. According to the Word of the Lord, we tell you that we who are still alive, who leave us until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who fell asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven, with a noisy command, with the voice of the archangel and with the call of trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will resuscitate first. After that, we who are still alive and we are left we are caught with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore, you encourage each other with these words.

A tribute to Chuck Girard, who is recently graduated from eternal glory in the presence of our Lord and the Savior Jesus Christ. Coming back at the start of the show, he started with four songs from the Love Song group, with which Girard noticed for the first time in the church in the early 1970s, and was one of the first Christian rock groups, a period.
The first song was “Welcome Back”, followed by “A Love Song” and “Little Country Church”, all from the eponymous album of Love Song, which was released in 1972. The last song by Love Song was “Jesus Puts The Song in Tho Hearts”, which was their second and sadly, the latest studio album, “Final Touch”.
From the Solo catalog of Chuck Girard, First Up was a trio of songs from his 1979 album “Take It Easy”. The songs were “the baptism of the water of the ocean with complete immersion by the sea”, “his word is always his promise” and “our lives are in your hands”.
Then, “Sometimes Alleluia”, which appeared on the first solo album by Chuck Girard, an eponymous effort released in 1976. He was followed by “Callin ‘You” from his 1977 album “GLOW IN THE DARK”, from there to return to his first album and the song “Slow Down”.
The final set started with another song from his first solo album, specifically “Lay Your Burden Down”. After that, there was the title of his 1980 album, “The Stand”, and he was finished with the song, “The Warrior”, of his 1978 album, “Writed on the Wind”.
To finish the show, I bring you three songs from a talented artist and a beloved sister in the Lord named Rosalie Hovencamp. The first song is “The Path That Thrins To You”, followed by “All The Way (He Loves)” and ending with a brand new Rosalie song entitled “Perfect Love”.
