ReutersThe White House rejected American media reports alleging that the border tsar Tom Homan accepted a bridge pot of $ 50,000 (£ 37,000) last year during a FBI bite under cover.

The White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt denied the accusations, declaring that Homan “was absolutely nothing wrong” and was the target of the politically motivated attempt from the Biden administration to discredit it.
Homan is doing efforts to deliver the promise of President Donald Trump for mass deportations and to stop illegal immigration.

Leavitt said that the current FBI director Kash Patel had ordered an investigation into the issue, which “found no evidence of illegal activity or criminals”.
“The president is 100% Tom Homan,” she added.
Deputy press secretary of the White House, Abigail Jackson, said on Sunday that Homan was not involved in granting contracts.
American immigration and customs application, the federal agency responsible for securing the American border, returned the BBC to the White House for questions on the issue.
Quoting anonymous sources that the American media reported that the Homan investigation began around August 2024 and came from an inquiry in relation to the law unrelated.

The New York Times reports that the Ministry of Justice Trump closed the case in doubts as to whether prosecutors could prove that Homan had done something illegal, because it was not in government at the time of the incident.
He headed a consulting company, Homeland Strategic Consulting, which was the subject of a meticulous examination of the Democrats when he was chosen to become Trump’s border tsar.
Homan announced that he would close the council and reject himself discussions on border contracts to avoid the appearance of irregularity.
