The Walking Dead repeats a familiar plot Carol & Daryl of season 2

With The Walking DeadThe televised universe from 15 years old, it is not surprising that the franchise has repeated some stories over the years, and Daryl Dixon Season 3 seems to reshape a Carol and Daryl plot from the main series. Although he feels like complete opposites at the start of the epidemic, Daryl and Carol have become extremely close friends The Walking Dead.

The two have evolved massively in their own way, Daryl learning to trust people more and to open emotionally, while Carol adapted to the new world by becoming much more cunning and ruthless. The duo undoubtedly still has their faults, but they generally remove the best from each other, hence their strong link.

Daryl Dixon Season 3 even teased a romance between the two main characters, but their connection has always been purely platonic. That said, it is clear that their relationship has been slightly different since his arrival in Spain, and for the fans who have been watching since The Walking Dead Season 2, it may seem quite familiar.

The current relationship of Daryl & Carol feels strangely similar to their dynamics of season 2 of Walking Dead

While Carol’s friendship and Daryl started properly in season 2, their dynamics were a little tense, just as it is again Daryl Dixon Season 3. Back in the second season of the main show, Daryl showed its softer and more altruistic side by looking for Sophia and comforting Carol after losing her daughter.

However, things were not always perfect between the pair. Daryl was previously because of his nature as a lone wolf, alongside the fact that he believed that his brother was dead. This allowed him to decorate it to Carol unfairly and to be disdainful towards her, something that the spin-off seems to repeat in season 3.

After Isabelle Traveling died in Daryl Dixon Season 2, the titular character silently cried, which explains his behavior in the current payment. He feels much brighter and has a shorter fuse, while seeing less empathetic towards those who need it in relation to the way he was in France.

Consequently, Carol appeared as the most innocent and open -minded, while Daryl is much more stubborn, proving how much their current dynamics are similar to their Traveling History of season 2.

Daryl recognizing the deceptive nature of Carol is a bit hypocritical

There is no doubt that, despite their growing tension this season, the protagonists are still close friends. However, Daryl recognizing the deceptive nature of Carol seems hypocritical given the frequency to which it is useful. After finding Roberto, the main duo and Antonio decided that it was better to keep what happened a secret to avoid climbing any conflict.

Here, Daryl said to Carol, “Everything we need is a good liar, and we have one“Although the line is delivered in a somewhat playful way, there is also a frank nature in the commentary, which makes it appear as a slight search to the character of Carol.

Given the frequency to which Carol lied Daryl Dixon Season 2, Daryl’s comment is not exactly inaccurate, because the veteran survivor is more than ready to deceive people to get what she wants. That said, Daryl has benefited from Carol’s dishonesty on several occasions, including in Spain, which means that he shouldn’t really judge her for that.

The duo clearly knows himself well enough to identify their faults, but since Daryl has always accepted Carol for whom she is, he feels hypocritical to call him while he cannot open up to his emotions. If their animosity continues Daryl Dixon Season 3 remains clear, but whatever, they will probably solve their problems anyway.
