Ed Martin, head of the Ministry of Justice of President Donald Trump, called for the resignation of the New York Letitia James general prosecutor and posed for photos outside his Brooklyn home last week – just as he conducts investigations.
His investigation into James, whose office brought charges of civilian fraud against Trump, his adult sons, and the Trump organization leading to a half-lunch of dollars last year, is one of the many ministries of justice launched in the president’s perceived enemies.
But since the start of the investigation into James, Martin has taken several unusual measures which have not come under the standards of conduct of prosecutors. He sent a letter to James ‘lawyer Abbe Lowell on August 12, suggesting that the best official of the New York Law application resigned, he appeared outside James’ house with a colleague dragged by a photographer for the New York Post and appeared on Fox News committing to throw a thorough exam in all of James.
In the video obtained by CNN, Martin can be seen posing for photos outside the house of James.
“This is a criminal investigation, not social media,” said Elie Honig, CNN principal legal analyst. “A blow like this could obtain clicks, but it is clearly inappropriate for a prosecutor to do so and that will certainly give James and his lawyer a basis to oppose any indictment, to affirm that this has been detrimental to the jury and that an indictment was brought in bad faith.”
Driving is “apart from the limits of the doj and the rules of ethics,” said Lowell in a response to Martin.
The Policy of the Ministry of Justice generally prohibits discussing publicly criminal surveys, and lawyers are not supposed to pursue investigations for political means or fishing expeditions.
The Doj refused to comment on this story.
Martin employment titles and surveys
Martin, a brandon of old wings shooting which pushed a remuneration program that attracted the attention of Trump, holds four titles to the Ministry of Justice: American forgiveness lawyer, special lawyer for mortgage fraud, assistant attorney general and director of the working group on arms.
He also investigates another enemy Trump, the Democratic Senator Adam Schiff of California, who conducted the 2016 presidential congress surveys.
James and Schiff deny all the reprehensible acts.
“We are going to go at the bottom of the facts, and if someone has done something wrong, we will not only hold them responsible, we will also look at everything they have done. Because when you are a liar, you are not only lying on one thing,” said Martin on Fox News on Sunday. “When you are a cheater, you cheat not only on one thing. When you make corruption, you generally do not only do it on something.
The big juries of Virginia and New York are investigating James, people familiar with the case told CNN. The Grand Jury of New York assigned James and examines his investigations on the Trump organization and the National Rifle Association. A separate survey in Virginia examines whether it has committed mortgage fraud on loan requests.
Lowell struck a letter to Martin on Monday to address his call to his resignation: “Let me be clear: this will not happen here.”
“Was there any doubts about your mission of political remuneration, you erased them in your first statements on your appointment when you declared that your mission was to” stick the level “. A responsible and credible federal prosecutor is not a Horse Pommel gymnast, ”wrote Lowell.
Lowell said the investigations were “baseless and long -term allegations”.

Martin said on Fox on Sunday that he was in New York and New Jersey for meetings last week and had gone to see James’ house.
“I wanted to put my eyes on it,” he said. “You must have an idea of what is really in play.”
