The USDA warns that some HelloFresh meals can be contaminated by Listeria

Two Hellofresh ready -to -use meals can be contaminated by Listeria, The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) warned in a public health alert published on Monday.
Spinach in meals based on subscription have been tested positive for bacteria, which can cause serious or potentially fatal disease if consumed.
Here’s what you need to know.
Public health alert has an impact on two ready -to -eat products:
- HelloFresh Ready makes meals with cheese cheese from cheese with effiloche pork pepper, 10.1 oz.; With the establishment number “is. 47718 “and the code of Lot 49107, or establishment number” Est. 2937 ”and the Lot code 48840
- Hellofresh ready to prepare peppers without a buffer with chopped turkey, 10 oz.; With establishment number “P-47718” and Lot codes 50069, 50073 or 50698
The two products were dispatched directly to HelloFresh customers and were not sold in stores.
FSIS issued the public health alert after Freshrealm, the producer of affected meals, informed the agency that the spinach of the products were tested positive for Listeria.
Listeria Infections are rare, but they can be fatal, especially in older adults, immunocompromised people and pregnant people and their newborns.
So far, no disease has been reported in relation to affected products.
If you are a HelloFresh client, check if your ready -to -use meals are assigned by the public health alert. If they are, Don’t eat them – throw them away.

- Fever
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Stiff neck
- Confusion
- Loss of balance
- Convulsions
- Diarrhea
Contact a health care provider if you experience symptoms, which usually start within two weeks of consuming contaminated food.
