Skylar Diggins completed its first WNBA triple-double in the regular season while conducting Seattle Storm’s hot shot at a 101-85 victory against Connecticut Sun on Monday in Uncasville, Conn.

Diggins, playing in his 318th WNBA match, had never recorded a regular triple-double-season, although she published the first triple-double in the history of the WNBA Star Match Nine days earlier.

In just 23 minutes, Diggins recorded 11 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. She led Seattle’s offensive in a performance heated by red, while the storm moved away with a race of 28-5 in the third quarter which turned an advantage of 57-48 to an advantage of 85-53 with 2:02 to play in the quarter.

Diggins drained a pair of free throws at the end of the quarter to finish his triple-double, then looked at the last period of the bench.

A match after having scored only 58 points, the storm almost equaled this total at halftime, establishing an advance of 57-46. The storm dropped to a point of scoring of the season, taking place in a 102-82 victory against the Las Vegas Aces on May 25.

Seattle fired a record of 60.9% (42 for 69) in the field, including 9 for 20 (45%) from the 3 -point range.

Apart from Diggins, Seattle (16-11) was led by Nneka Ogwumike and Gabby Williams. Ogwumike scored 26 points on the shot of 11 for 13 in 19 minutes of playing time, while Williams scored 16 points on shooting 7 for 11. The rookie Dominique Malonga added 12 points and six plates, and Ezi Magbegor collected 10 points in easy victory.

The Connecticut (4-21) came out of a 95-point outlet against the Golden State Valkyries on Sunday, but could not keep this pace. Bria Hartley punctuated the sun with 17 points, although it pulled only 4 for 12 from the field. Tina Charles added 11 points and reserve Jacy Sheldon and Olivia Nelson-Oododa collected 11 and 10 points respectively.

The sun won its fifth defeat in six games, while the storm continued a section of nine games of victories and alternating defeats.
