No relationship means more for Walking Dead Fans than that between Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). After having been in France far from all those he knows in the first season, Carol returned in season 2 Carol’s book. The beasties fought through living bad guys and the living dead, but at the end of the season, the young Laurent (Louis Puech Charculiar) and ash (Manish Dayal) returned to America, while Daryl and Carol had to find a different way back. Daryl DixonPremiere of season 3, “Costa da dead” (Portuguese for “Coast of Death”), sees our two heroes leaving France behind and finding themselves in LondonEngland. It is there that they meet a man named Julian, played by Stephen Merchant. This has led to one of the best Walking Dead episodes for years.

Daryl and Carol find themselves in an abandoned London during the first of season 3

The episode opens with a quote from RM Rilke: “I have my dead and I let them go.” This is what Daryl and Carol are both trying to do as they walk along the coast of England. Making a way through the countryside, Carol holds tight to a hot dog box that she saves for a special occasion. Friends work and talk about what they have lost. “All we do is run and fight,” says Daryl. “It’s not a way to live.”

They arrive in a London decimated at the point of control of Westminster, but without anyone around, they pass through. There are the rumbles of a few walkers here and there, but it is nothing worrying until a swarm emerges. Daryl and Carol retaliate and flee to an old apartment buildingwhere they manage to seal inside. By working on several stairs, they enter a chic apartment where the previous owner is resuscitated to a chandelier. Drink for supplies is interrupted by a smaller group of walkers, which are easily killed.

Carol and Daryl come out on the balcony of the apartment, where hundreds of walkers now line the streets. They will not go anywhere. Two days later, they are still there and surrounded, using twins to search the street. Unable to stay much longer, they decide to run for that at dawn. Carol plans to eat the hot dog box, given how it could be their last meal, but before it can open them, a light shines in the outside room. Does anyone report it? Daryl signals with a piece of glass in case another living human is there.

Daryl and Carol go to the house on Julian’s boat

They are awakened in the night by the sound of the steps and striking on the roof. When the noise moves to the balcony, they open the door, ready to kill and find a very large and clumsy man standing there with a bicycle helmet and a reminder rope. “I come in peace,” explains a nervous julian chamberlain (merchant). As a peace act, he shows two rabbits that he brought to Daryl and Carol to eat. The trio sits for dinner, where Julian says he is the last person in England, as long as he knows. He had not seen anyone for years so far.

Julian remembers how the company broke down after the epidemic, and with the sealed city, this meant misfortune for all those who lived inside. He could have left London, but what would be the point? “I couldn’t sail the boat alone.” This immediately draws the attention of Daryl and Carol. Carol tells Julian America and how he could go with them, but he thinks they could also stay in London. Daryl, being too forward, asks where the boat is, but Julian rejects him, smiling and happy that he met people with whom shares the world. Carol tells him that they have friends waiting for them at home. “It could be your house too. You don’t want someone you miss?”

Julian asks if they know how to sail, to which they lie quickly and say yes. It only takes a few seconds for an excited Julian to accept their plan. He will return home, get his supplies and return in the morning. The next day, Julian triggers the bells of Big Ben, removing the walkers from the building before presenting himself with food and supplies. He quickly discovers that Daryl and Carol are not sailors, which is really bad, because he is not much of it either. Julian always wanted to be, but he missed the Royal Naval College. “A bad decision, I killed you.” He seems to be a good man, but Julian has no self -confidence. He is ready to forget the boat, so Daryl speaks. All those who have passed to the Royal Naval College are probably dead, but here Julian is still alive. They will follow it and will go well. It makes Julian move, and The three go to the Thameswhere the sailboat is moored.

Inside, Julian has trouble reading his cards. Long navigation confuses it, sending it again in despair. They are lost, but according to his calculations, they are in a way always on the right track And should be in America in about two weeks. The new friends are excited, but it is not as fun at night that Daryl thinks of his brother when they were children. Meanwhile, Carol talks about letting go of her daughter in the tunnel in France. She is delighted to go ahead and see what comes next. Daryl is struggling with the loss of Isabelle, but he is really happy for Carol.

Daryl tells Julian that he may find someone in America. However, before they can go so far, they must think that these storm clouds arrive. The group has difficulty taking their sails while the wind and the rain beat them later in the night, which led Julian to make himself fall and seriously. With their captain out of commission, Daryl and Carol do their best. Thinking that it could be the end, Carol says: “I’m happy to have found you.” Daryl will not hear that because they return home.

Unfortunately, it will not be so early, because the next morning reveals that The sailboat crashed on a beach. Daryl and Carol were both thrown on the sand and unconscious, but they meet when they come. Carol is worse for wear, open and confused. Meanwhile, Julian is nowhere in sight. Carol finds him standing on the beach and looking at the water. When the man turns around, Julian left, and only a walker remains. A weakened Carol has trouble fighting when he attacks, but Daryl arrives in time to kill him. Out of respect, they then give his body to the water.

That night, Daryl discovers that Carol has a piece of metal behind her back which must come out now because she burns with a fever. After cutting the obstruction, Daryl is on the beach when he notices men carrying torches. Knowing that this is bad news with these animal skulls they carry on the head, Daryl rushes towards Carol, whose fever makes her almost delicious. This requires a certain effort, but it is able to keep it silent and the strange men leave.

The next morning, Daryl and Carol are preparing and falling into the woods, finding a sign on the track that reads Costa de la Muerte. They are in Spain, not being far at all. The friends follow the sound of a river and meet walkers in nets hanging from the trees. They continue quickly and come in a small shelter, where they rest for the night, and Daryl repairs Carol’s injury. Carol tells how Daryl hides his feelings, so he opens the way he was ready to abandon the tunnel in France when he saw Isabelle’s ghost. It made him fight again. He tells Carol that they can never give up. “Because we have hot dogs to eat,” says Carol. In the morning, Daryl is looking for food near a river when a vehicle approaches. He hides behind a tree and looks at a military jeep pass in front. When he withdrew At the refuge, Carol left, and Daryl finds it anywhere.
