The town hall of Los Angeles evacuated after the car crashes on the steps of the building

LOS Angeles (AP) – The town hall of Los Angeles was evacuated after a car crashed into the building steps on Friday afternoon and the driver was later placed in police custody, officials said.

About two hours after the accident, the driver could be seen out of the car and walk his arms raised to a police and firefighter vehicle line. He was then handcuffed.

According to the police, there was no immediate report of injuries. The mayor of Karen Bass said in an article on the social platform X that the bomb team of the Los Angeles police department had arrived on the accident site, although it also declared that the situation had been “securely resolved”.

She previously declared that the town hall was evacuated “by abundance of prudence”.

The police responded to reports just after 4 p.m. on a traffic collision, according to Charles Miller, spokesperson for the LAPD. They then worked to get in touch with the driver. The circumstances which led to the accident were not immediately clear.

The video drawn in news helicopters shortly after the accident shows the driver on the front seat and a cardboard connection in the window that reads as follows: “I need your help” and refers to President Donald Trump.

“Thank you to all the brave first stakeholders who resolved this situation safely with compassion and emergency,” said Bass on X.
