The television adaptation of Amazon’s “fourth wing” names a new showrunner

The adaptation of the series of Fourth wing has a new showrunner.

Meredith Averill (Locke & Key, Wednesday) will take the reins of the Prime video series, based on the best -selling fantastic novels by Rebecca Yarros (collectively known as The Empyrean) of the tangled edition. Averill takes over for Moira Walley-Canadkett, who left the project in July.

The potential series will focus on Violet Sorrengail, whose plans for a quiet life are turned upside down when his mother, general military, orders him to join the brutal Brugiah War College and to become one of the several hundred candidates in the running to become Dragon Riders.

Yarros published three of a planned series of five pounds from the fourth wing in May 2023. IT and followed Iron flame And Onyx storm were all the best sellers.

Fourth wingof the Amazon MGM Studios and the aberrant company of Michael B. Jordan, have been developing since October 2023. Averill will produce the project with Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo for the aberrant company, Yarros and Liz Pelletier and Sherryl Clark are from the Sister Sister of Publishing Publishing Publishing, Enchevêtré. Stefano Agosto, executive vice-president of the Ovre-Outlier television, is CO-EP.

Averill co-created Netflix LOCKE & KEY and was executive producer of Wednesday’S second season. His credits also include The encouragement of Hill House, Jane the Virgin And The good woman.
