Sunderland was very active in the transfer market this summer, and their efforts are expected to continue in the coming weeks. The Black Cats are desperate to fill the gap towards those of the Premier League, and one of their rumor targets would certainly help in this regard.
The 3-0 friendly defeat of the pre-season of last weekend against Hearts shows that more additions are still necessary for the team of Regis Le Bris, in particular in defense. At least one central defender should join the transfer window closing in September, and an option on the table is Bologna’s international Colombia, Jhon Lucumi.
