Why the Landman of Taylor Sheridan is prosecuted on a scene

Taylor Sheridan continued one of the main actors of “Yellowstone” on brand counterfeiting, so he is sure that he has treated his just part of the legal drama. However, the prolific creator could have landed Paramount in a place of pain thanks to his oil drama “Landman”, as a audio clip presented in the final of season 1 would have been used without authorization.

The episode at the heart of the drama, “The Crumbs of Hope”, contains a 90 -second clip from the late Radio Radio diffuser Paul Harvey chatting with the prices of oil in his program “The Resing of the Story”. The original segment, which can be found in the 2008 episode entitled “Gas crisis”, argues that the increase in oil costs is the result of greater governments and companies. However, Harvey’s succession, Paulyne says that “Landman” changes the clip to defend the petroleum industry while breaking the material protected by copyright. Here is what the lawyer for Paulyne, Jaime Wolf, had to say about the question (according to The Wrap):

“In the world of audio license, 90 seconds is an eternity. Paramount has not only caught a long audio clip protected by copyright without the permission of our client, but they also twisted the intention of Mr. Harvey’s words by modifying his original diffusion.”

With the trial, Paulyne seeks to remove the clip from the episode. Not only that, but the succession does not want “Gas Crisis” to be used in future episodes either, and it is looking for financial compensation to compensate for paramount to take advantage of the clip. At the time of writing these lines, no representative of Paramount publicly commented on the trial and no longer Sheridan (which is probably too busy focusing on season 2 of “Landman” and other projects).

Landman season 2 is currently on the way

Taylor Sheridan’s television empire continues to grow, so he will not have time to allow an annoying trial to occupy too much of his schedule. “Landman” season 2 is currently in production, and he is also working on several next derivative series “Yellowstone” which will probably lead to even more ramifications. Add “Mayor of Kingstown”, “Special Ops: Lioness”, “Tulsa King”, and the occasional cinema project, and it is sure to say that his plate is full.

Aside from the proceedings, however, season 2 of “Landman” promises to be exciting. Sam Elliot recently joined the casting, marking his last collaboration with Sheridan after “1883”. In addition, viewers can impatiently await a drama centered on the cartel when the new episodes arrive, while the final of season 1 ends with Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) feeling above his head and fearing for his life.

The result of the aforementioned trial remains to be seen, but it should not delay the trip of “Landman” from season 2 to the screen. However, perhaps Sheridan and Co. Should resist the urge to include other audio clips in the show that could cause them trouble, because the legal drama is always a headache.

“Landman” season 1 is now in difficulty on Paramount +.
