Leeds is preparing for life in the Premier League, but they will soon separate from a player who takes place 35 times during his winning season in the championship in 2024-25.
Leeds is aware that significant changes are necessary for the Daniel Farke team before the kick -off of the Premier League season in August. The idea is that many signatures are made, but there will also be departures – and one of those who leave Elland Road will be Junior Firpo.
We have long expected that Firpo leaves Leeds at the expiration of his current contract, which is exhausted at the end of June. The 28 -year -old has been linked to many clubs in recent months, but he now seems to be set up in Spain.
Junior Firpo to seal the real move from Betis this week
Firpo spent four years in Real Betis before a move of 20 million euros to Barcelona in 2019, and according to Mundo Deportivo (via Leedsunited.News), it should return to the finalists of the UEFA Conference League. According to the report, the talks between the parties are at an advanced stage and an agreement should be concluded this week.
FirPo was very impressive for Leeds during the 2024-25 season, amassing four goals and 10 assists across the campaign. His imminent departure is a blow for Farke, and he must be sufficiently replaced before the closing of the summer transfer window for the second time in early September.
Firpo may not be the only leeds player to move to Betis this summer, the Meto Joseph striker who also aroused interest in recent weeks. Its exit would bring funds, but this would not be the case with the Dominican international of the Republic, which makes his departure all the more painful.
