USA Cricket suspended by ICC; Does this have an impact on the T20 2026 World Cup or the Olympics 2028?

The International Cricket Council (ICC) suspended American cricket (USAC) with immediate effect, ending months of frustration around the governance of the board of directors. Why did ICC suspend the United States?

The ICC has confirmed that the male and female teams of the United States will remain eligible to participate in international competitions. This includes the T20 2026 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, where the United States has already qualified directly after reaching the Super Eight scene in the 2024 edition.
