The Indian Government Grifle BCCI with nearly 400 penalty crores before the Asian Cup 2025

The CICCS Control Council in India (BCCI) supported the National Sports Governance Law, 2025, and the promotion and regulation of the online games bill, 2025. Secretary Devajit Saikia has also confirmed that the Board Indian Cricket will end its existing sponsorship agreement with DREAM11 if necessary.

The promotion and regulation of Bill online, 2025, which was adopted Wednesday in Lok Sabha, aims to ban all the platforms of real money gaming and their promoters. This could have an impact on the BCCI, because Dream11 sponsors the team of India and My11circle Hold Ipl Fantasy Rights for the next three years.

“Once the act is in force, we will examine it, examine it, and if it is allowed, then we will take sponsorship (Paris and online game companies), if it is not authorized, we will do nothing,” Saikia told Times of India.

“Take the example of cigarettes and alcohol. Has the BCCI took a sponsorship of cigarettes and alcohol companies, once the sponsorship of this type of business has been prohibited? So, whatever the permission in the laws in force in our country, we will only do so.

India maintains a ban on bilateral cricket with Pakistan

The Indian government has revealed its position on playing cricket against Pakistan. India will continue its ban on bilateral cricket with Pakistan while allowing participation in multi-noble tournaments under the new National Sports Governance Law, 2025.

This policy allows the board of directors to participate in the next Asia CUP 2025 in water, where India will face Pakistan on September 14. Pakistan can only visit India if it is part of a multi-nation competition.

Clarification comes after increased tension between the two countries. A fatal terrorist attack took place in Kashmir, followed by a military conflict between the nations in May.

Despite criticism, the government has confirmed that bilateral links remain suspended, while participation in international events will continue according to politics.

We will follow everything in the real letter and the spirit – ahead of Saikia

Devajit Saikia said the Council followed central government policies on all sports issues, including sponsorships and participation in international events.

He added that the government takes into account the interests of players, teams and future tournaments organized in India. Saikia has clearly indicated that the BCCI will not deviate from these directives and will fully implement them in the real letter and the Spirit.

“The central government has taken advantage of the players, teams and also events that will be organized by our country in the future. So all these things are very well taken by the government of India and we fully approve the point of view expressed by the central government and we will respect the central government 100%,” said Saikia.

“The BCCI will not go a single thumb against government policy. We will fully respect all the policies of the central government, whether it participates in an international sporting event or with regard to sponsorship. We will follow everything in real letter and spirit,” he added.
