The Star of the Lord of the Rings Elijah Wood suggests that he could come back as Frodon for the Hunting in Gollum

It looks like Andy Serkis’ The Lord of the Rings: Hunting in Gollum Faced with being more a meeting for the distribution and the team of the acclaimed trilogy of Peter Jackson than we made it.
Although Serkis (Gollum) is the only actor who has been confirmed to resume his role, it seems likely that Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf) and Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) will be back, and Orlando Bloom (Legolas) said he could also appear.
Now Elijah Wood has strongly suggested that he would come back as Frodon Baggins.
Wood declared the following during an appearance in Mexico at the DesertCon during the weekend (via Cbr).
“Well, I can’t say anything about it.
“And then, the same production designers. It will be turned in New Zealand,” He continued. “So, it will take with it such continuity with so many people who are part of the Lord of the Rings, and I am really excited about this. I feel like I will put this old machine again operational with all the right people.”
We do not know if Wood gave a little more than he thought here, but if he read the script, there is a very good chance that he will be on board! Admittedly, he may have sent the script to assess his interest, but something tells us that we will see Frodon in this film, even if it is only for a few scenes.
We do not know how these actors will be disturbed to play younger versions of their characters, but Serkis previously suggested that AI could be used.
This period is mentioned in Tolkien’s novels and Jackson’s films, with Gandalf and Aragorn trying to find Gollum before falling into Sauron’s hands. In the films, the sorcerer says that he “sought the Gollum of the creature everywhere”, but “the Lord of Darkness found him first”. In the books, Aragorn reveals that he managed to capture Smeagol (“he bit me … and I was not sweet”) near the dead marshes, but could not take from information.
“It is an honor and a privilege to return to the land of the environment with our good friend and collaborator, Andy Serkis, who has unfinished affairs with this stinking – Gollum!”, “,” Jackson, Boyens and Walsh said in a statement when the film was announced. “As fans of the life of Professor Tolkien’s vast mythology, we are proud to work with Mike de Luca, Pam Abdy and the whole team of Warner Bros. in another epic adventure!”
“Yesssss, precious. The time has come once again to venture into the unknown with my dear friends, the extraordinary and incomparable guards of Middle -earth, Fran and Philippa “,” Adding Serkis. “With Mike and Pam, and the Warner Bros team in the quest, alongside Weta and our family of films in New Zealand, it’s just too delicious …”.
“For more than two decades, the moviegoers adopted the trilogy of the film Lord of the Rings because of the undeniable deviation that Peter, Fran and Philippa have shown to protect the inheritance of Tolkien’s works and ensure that the public could discover the incredible world that he created in a way that honors his literary vision,” WBD Pam Abdy and Michael de Luca cinema has added. “We are honored that they agreed that our partners on these two new films. With Andy aboard the Lord of the Rings: Hunting in Gollum (* WT), we continue an important commitment to excellence which is a real characteristic of how we all want to venture and contribute more to the Lord of the Rings Cinematic History.
