The star of Constantine, Keanu Reeves, says that another draft of the following script is finished: “Crosshed the fingers”

Shortly after James Gunn announced the first chapter of the new DCU Slate, “Gods and Monsters”, rumors began to circulate that a direct suite of Constantine was in preparation, and Warner Bros. would later confirm that the project was effectively in the first stages of development.
Since then, we have had contradictory reports concerning the status of the film, and the news that Gunn and Peter Safran had decided to put aside (or to cancel outright) a certain number of projects provided led to speculations that Constantine 2 would probably be among them.
However, director Francis Lawrence later confirmed that the project was still in preparation.
“The truth is that somewhere around the 15th anniversary or something like that, we have zoomed out and we all chatted to try it to go up and do it. I certainly think that there is a larger fans base and it certainly became a kind of classic cult, which was really exciting to see and very strange, but it is something that we have always loved.
“And so we had thought about it.”, “ He continued. “We were also received a note r [on the first Constantine] When we sort of made a PG-13 film and followed all the PG-13 rules. So we are like ‘F – K it, let’s go and really make a classified film R. Give us an R, let’s make a real film evaluated by R.’ »
We know that a finished script does not necessarily mean that a project will actually enter the production, but Star Keanu Reeves has now shared another positive update.
“The fingers crossed. Another draft of the script came. We will take it to the studio and I hope they love it too,” The actor said Fandango While promoting good fortune.
We do not know if this potential suite would be part of the DCU or a “Elseworlds” project like Matt Reeves’ Batman – Part IIBut we would say that the latter is more likely.
The first Constantine I received mixed criticisms when it was released in 2005, but despite an Americanized interpretation of the Magic-Wielder Scouse and a few other freedoms with source equipment, fans reacted well to taking the anti-hero, and the film has won a strong public over the years.
