Spurs must be released the “waste of money” which now surpasses simons

Often in football, there is a flash point in the accumulation of a managerial dismissal, the culmination of a long sequence of bad results.
For Ange Postcoglou and Tottenham Hotspur, the victory of the Europa League turned out to be the straw that broke the back of the camel. The Australian coach had ended the endless research of the Spurs, but also worked in a 17th place in the Premier League.
Daniel Levy, now left himself, said that the manager’s position was untenable and that a new start was necessary. Whatever the side of the fence you sit on, it is undeniable that the justification of the reflection process, Thomas Frank taking a promising start to his mandate.
The signatures made in recent months have been the promise of sustainable and positive football with them. Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons are testaments to this, the two large attackers settle well in N17.
Kudus and Simons are strokes for spurs
Tottenham signed Kudus from West Ham United for 55 million pounds sterling in June. Some signs, the rush of rivals like that. And the Ghanaian winger reimburses faith on the ground, having experienced a start to tear under the life under the wing of Frank.
His final product leaves something to be desired, but the 24 -year -old rhythm and energy and the franchise does not. A maider, record sofse that he has an average of 2.2 key passes and won 7.8 duels per match in the Premier League this season, playing on the right. Kudus has not yet marked, but he collected three assists.
Likewise, Simons, 22, has not yet broken his duck, but the Dutchman has only four games in his career in Lilywhites and started once in the Premier League. More a creator of bullets than his peer, Simons was described as a “game changer” by talent scout Jacek Kulig.
Looking at his last two mandates in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, it is rather clear that Frank found a jewel, landing for 51 million pounds sterling despite the acquired attention of Chelsea.

These rising stars shape the future of Tottenham, but they have not yet reached their stride. This augurs well, but it is also curious to note that a former flop of the Spurs surpasses the pair.
Indeed, Ivan Perisic always produces creative performance.
Ivan Perisic’s season in number
Tottenham signed Perisic on a free transfer after the 2021/22 season, the Croatian contract with Inter Milan having expired. He was 33 years old and considered as a purchase of public services, a depth of the team.
One goal was everything he had to show for this first year in the English game, but Perisic turned out to be a creative force of sublime quality, accumulating 12 assists.
Antonio Valle d’Espn Amazed by the addition of silent jackpot, saying: “Perisic, this extremely constant player who has not spoken much.”
Admittedly, the veteran provided a regular supply line to the attackers, starting only 23 times in the elite that year, but creating 11 large chances and on average 1.4 key passes per match, according to Sofascore.
However, it was not the whole sun and the rainbow for the versatile star, the journalist James Maw saying before the ACL of the player that he would be “recalled as a huge waste of money”.
Indeed, it should be noted that he brought back to the house the pretty sou in the north of London, earning a life of £ 195,000 per week.
However, he played an important role and started strongly in 2023/24 under the direction of PostCoglou, before suffering from this devastating injury to the knee and before being loaned to Hadjuk Split in January, where he recovered before the expiration of his contract at the end of the campaign.
Whether it is a mistake to release a good player in their thirties while recovering from a brutal knee injury is open to debate, but there is no doubt that the career of Perisic in Tottenham is a cod, with all this potentially proved to be different if he had avoided this disaster.
After all, Perisic rebounded despite the age of mature football of 36 years. In the Netherlands with the PSV Eindhoven, he has already marked a goal and has placed six assists this season, proving that his power is very intact and ahead of Simons, although with both in different spheres.
In fact, given that the postcoglou spurs’ ship has flowed after a categorical start, it is not out of the question to think that leadership and perisic experience could have helped things, if it had been in good shape.
Simons works with a similar skill on the balloon and a baguette of a delivery which is similar to the experienced star. At least now, Spurs have a similar player who can intensify and deliver.
The time of Perisic in Tottenham was turbulent, but we cannot forget the quality of its creation of games during this first mandate. If an injury had not struck him, everything could have been so different.
