The Rock might have found his next businessman in WWE

The Rock’s search for his next WWE businessman may be over. Although he hasn’t commented on who he will choose as his next corporate champion in WWE, the fact that John Cena (his first hand-picked man) has retired is enough to indicate that he may indeed be looking for another superstar.
Gunther could be Rock’s next WWE businessman
Thanks for the submission!
Ring General and two-time World Heavyweight Champion Gunther could be The Rock’s next man in the company. He checks all the boxes to be a favorable guy from The Final Boss. Gunther retired John Cena in humiliating fashion at SNME, making the 17-time WWE Champion quit.
Not only did Gunther retire after that win, but he also gloated about it on this week’s episode of RAW. He kicked off the show and cut a promo to infuriate John Cena fans. He thumped his chest, saying he made Cena hit like a “bitch.” As the crowd booed him, the 38-year-old superstar continued to insult Cena.
RAW General Manager Adam Pearce reprimanded him for behaving so brashly, but Gunther would not back down. He even had confrontations with R-Truth and AJ Styles, but the former world heavyweight champion left with just a wicked smile on his face.
The Rock can return to Elimination Chamber and declare Gunther as his businessman
The Final Boss hasn’t made an appearance since Elimination Chamber PLE this year. After leading to Cena’s heel turn, the Rock disappeared. However, her business with Cody Rhodes is still not over. This means that Rock would still try to get revenge on The American Nightmare.
So when is he coming back? This may happen at Elimination Chamber PLE next year. The big event will take place on February 28, 2026 at the United Center in Chicago. Gunther will most likely compete in the six-man Elimination Chamber match if he does not win the 2026 Royal Rumble. After winning the chamber match, The Brahma Bull can come out and announce Gunther as his next businessman in WWE and give him his next mission.
The Rock may pit Gunther against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42
Since Cody Rhodes remains a thorn in the eye of The Final Boss, the 53-year-old WWE legend can pit Gunther against Cody Rhodes for WrestleMania 42. Using all of his powers as a TKO board member, Rock can overturn Triple H’s creative decision and book a Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther match for WrestleMania 42.
Given that Gunther is already a two-time world heavyweight champion, he might not be booked to win the heavyweight title again. And instead, he would be looking to win his first undisputed WWE Championship.
Rock and Gunther’s reunion would also establish The Ring General as WWE’s top heel. Cena’s match has already earned him ire, and getting along with The Final Boss here would only add fuel to the fire. All eyes are on the Austrian Scion’s next step in promotion.
