In the new images, Jeremy Irvine plays James Sunderland as he ventures into the haunted city of Silent Hill and crosses dark corridors, a building on fire and far from the head of the killer pyramid. Hannah Emily Anderson is also in the casting as Mary Crane.

“Return to Silent Hill” sees the director Christopher Gans returning to the franchise, after having directed the first film “Silent Hill”, released in 2006. A suite, “Silent Hill: Revelation”, was made by MJ Bassett and released in 2012.

Gans co-written “Return to Silent Hill” with Sandra Vo-Anh and William Josef Schneider. Cineverse shared that the new entry is designed as “a faithful adaptation of the video game” Silent Hill 2 “”, released from Konami in 2001. After having become a classic of the genre, a remake was released in 2024.

The “Silent Hill” franchise was launched for the first time on PlayStation in 1999, causing three suites over the next five years. While other entries and repercussions followed, this initial race is widely considered among video game players as one of the most emblematic and atmospheric achievements among the horror of survival titles.

“Return to Silent Hill” is produced by Victor Hadida de Davis Films, Molly Hassell by Hassell Free Production and David Wulf. The horror suite has defined a theatrical version for January. Look at the new trailer below.
