The two teams displayed an electric exhibition in the first two games in the weekend series between the Cincinnati Reds and the Detroit Tigers host.
Detroit exploded four circuits in a game of 11-5 when the series was opened on Friday. Cincinnati a countered with four long balls on Saturday while winning a 11-1 victory. The series will be decided on Sunday afternoon.

Wade Miley, whose name has been in the news in recent days for unflattering reasons, is expected to start the final of the series for the Reds.
Miley, 38, tackled an accusation that he provided former teammate Tyler Skaggs – who died of a overdose in 2019 – with prescription drugs when they were teammates with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2012 and 2013.
“I’m not going to sit here and talk about things that someone could have said about me or what was not doing it,” said Miley. “I have never witnessed all of this. I have never been accused of any reprehensible act.”
Miley was appointed by the former Skagg agent in a deposition carried out within the framework of an unjustified death trial filed by the Skggs family.
While the controversy swirls around him, the left -hander just tries to stay in the majors. After launching only two games for Milwaukee last season, Miley suffered an injury at the end of the season.

“It feels good to come back there and compete,” said Miley. “When the guards returned, our offense responded immediately and closed their momentum.”
Miley replaces Hunter Greene, who appears on the injured list. It is 2-0 with an MPM of 6.16 in six career starts against Detroit.
The start of the Detroit Sawyer Gipson-Long (0-0, 4.32) made two appearances since the surgeries of the elbows and hips derailed his 2024 season. During his last outing, Gipson-Long occurred in relief and limited Baltimore to a round and three strokes while removing five in 4 2/3 rounds.
Gipson-Long will be responsible for cooling the hot bats of the Reds. Cincinnati has won six of his last eight games.
He will face the Reds for the first time.
“They did a good job in dismissal of difficult terrains and when they had in the area, they left a few of the park,” said Tigers manager AJ Hinch after the competition on Saturday.
