The Red Sox recruit, Payton Tolle, draws Diamondbacks in the second departure

The Boston recruit left -handed, Payton Tolle, will make his second start of the major league on Friday, facing Arizona Diamondbacks on six days of rest in Phoenix.
Tolle (0-0, 3.38 ERA) granted two points in 5 1/3 rounds but did not receive a decision during its beginnings, a 4-2 home defeat in Pittsburgh and the right-hander Paul Skenes last Friday.
Tolle will face the left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez (6-8, 5.40) in the first match in a series of three games while the Red Sox continues their post-season push.
Boston (78-63) has 3 1/2 games behind the Blue Jays in Toronto in the East American League and 4 1/2 games in front of the Seattle Mariners for second place at the Joker notebook.
“He has not launched a regular rotation, so we have to take care of him,” said Boston manager Alex Cora about Tolle.
Tolle, the choice of draft of the second round of Boston in 2024, was slow during his first professional season, recording 97 rounds in 21 appearances, including his One Red Sox Start.
“Let it be,” said Cora about the approach in the future. “I think there is a reason why he is here. The pitching group, they are aware of what to do to continue to improve, and we will continue to help him.”
Tolle’s beginnings “were exceptional,” continued Cora “, and if he can do the rest of the month, we are in a very good place.”
The Red Sox will play their second match without the Roman recruit Roman Anthony, which was placed on Wednesday on the list of injuries with a left oblique tension suffered during an at-bat in the fourth round on Tuesday in an 11-7 victory against the Cleveland Guardians.
Anthony said he felt a pinch on a check ball before removing the next pitch. He missed four games in early August with a mid-dos lock and should miss about a month after an MRI has shown the extent of the injury.
“It’s certainly worse in terms of what it feels,” said Anthony.
The Red Sox are already without a Voltger Wilyer Abreu, who appears on the injured list since August 18 with a strain of straight veal.
The diamondbacks lost the Lourdes Gurriel Jr. voltiseur Jr. to a crossed ligament injury prior to the end of the season, when he planted to avoid a collision on a fly ball taken by the central field player Blaze Alexander during the sixth round of a 7-5 defeat, 10 sleeves against the Texas Rangers.
Rodriguez, who spent his first six seasons with Boston, gave four strokes in six goals without a goal during his last outing, a victory on road 6-1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. He kept the diamondbacks even with Tyler Glasnow, who took a sure blow in the sixth and ended up being labeled with the loss.
“Eddie just let us take our foot. He does not back down, and he vomited as many zeros as Glasnow,” said Arizona Torey Lovullo manager.
The Diamondbacks (70-71) are 5 1/2 games behind the New York Mets for the third point of the National League, with San Francisco and Cincinnati to jump.
“Each match counts,” said Rodriguez. “We do not focus on where we are in the ranking or something like that, we just focus on the victory of each match and whatever happens.”
Rodriguez is 0-2 with an 8.31 MPM in two appearances against the Red Sox, both start to come when he was with Detroit.
Bregman has 8 for 24 with three circuits against him, Trevor Story is 5 for 10 and Nathaniel Lowe is 4-en-9.
