The Red Sox Prospect Marcelo Mayer admission to the tips of the big leagues

It would not be surprising if the Boston Red Sox called Marcelo Mayer in the big leagues now.
This is something that the prospect of the Red Sox very praised admitted that he often thought.
“Every day,” Mayer told Alex Speier de Boston Globe earlier this week. “As a player, it’s something I thought about every day since I was a little kid to watch games on television with my family, or go to (San Diego) Padres games. It’s just something that you work so hard for each day, and you just hope that one day it will be realized.”
There are developments within the field of Red Sox which have Mayer as close as it was to realize his dreams of the big league.
The Red Sox have not yet found a full -time basic player after Triston Casas fell with an injury at the end of the season on May 2. Nick Sogard and Abraham Toro divide the tasks around the corner for the moment, but the Red Sox have Kristian Campbell first to be a permanent solution to the position.

If Campbell slips from the second to the first, he will create an opening that Mayer can fill despite the fact that the 22 -year -old came by the agricultural system of Boston as a stop. The change of position for Campbell does not seem imminent, however.
Mayer is known for its gentle commissioning capacity and although there can be a transition to play second, many think that he has the skills to perform well on the defensive.
And the coupling of his strong glove with his formidable bat – Mayer strikes. 265 with eight circuits and 41 points produced in 42 games with triple -a working this season – gives Mayer the potential to have an impact immediately each time he joins the Red Sox.
“It’s special. He makes these games deep in the hole and makes him so easy. This guy is ready to do a lot to do a lot of big things in the big leagues. Offensively, I think the strength is coming,” Woosox coach Doug Clark told Speier. “At this age, it’s really special for us to see someone with this kind of talent to be able to revolve around 95,96 years, have a smooth swing, have a balance and be able to move the ball in all areas. It is a huge talent that we can look at. ”

But Clark and the rest of the Worcester team may have to watch Mayer from afar soon.
