The Rangers hit the jackpot with ibrox “Pitbull”

Kevin Thelwell raised more than a few eyebrows when the details of the agreement to bring Youssef Chermiti to the Glasgow Rangers on a permanent agreement of Everton emerged.
Sky Sports reported that the Portuguese striker had joined the club for initial costs of 8 million pounds sterling from the Premier League team, with an additional 2 million pounds in addition to that.
This means that Chermiti is the most expensive signature that the Scottish Giants of Premières have since paid 12 million pounds sterling to sign Andre Flo de Chelsea 25 years ago.
Why the Chermiti represent a big risk for the Rangers
It is just to say that Thelwell takes a big risk by splashing such a huge sum of money on the attacker for the Rangers, only two years after having signed the same player for Everton for an agreement of a value of up to 15 million pounds sterling.
The 21 -year -old central center failed to offer a single competitive goal in two seasons with the Tofetes, playing 24 games at that time, and only scored three goals in 22 games for sport in its country of origin, by Sofascore.
This means that Chermiti only scored three goals in his senior career at the age of 21. It is not a record that suggests that the rangers will take goals from him, what you hope for the money they spent for him.
A minimum amount of 8 million pounds sterling is therefore a decision risked by the club because of its uninvited assessment, especially if we consider that Nicolas Raskin is worth a similar amount.
The Rangers hit the jackpot with Nicolas Raskin
The Gers signed the Belgian central midfielder of Standard Liege for costs of just under 1.5 million pounds Sterling in early 2023, and he won as a star, winning the club player’s prize last season.
Raskin was excluded from the team to face Celtic on Sunday in the Scottish Prime Minister, but he stayed in Ibrox after the summer transfer window and should hold talks with Russell Martin to clean the tunes and reintegrate it into the team.
There is no doubt about the quality it offers to the team on the field after its impressive performance last season. He accumulated five goals and 11 assists in all competitions, by Sofascore, on the way to win the player of the season.
Its market value has climbed beyond the initial costs of 8 million pounds sterling that the club paid for Chermiti to reflect its impressive Glasgow projections in recent seasons.

As you can see in the table above, Raskin is currently assessed at 8.7 million pounds sterling by Transfermarkt, which is more than the costs that have been paid for the Portuguese striker and much more than the approximate costs of 1.5 million pounds sterling that were paid to the Standard for Belgian talent.
This shows that the midfielder’s star, who was described as a “pit bull” by journalist Bob Faesen, has developed and progressed brilliantly since his move to Ibrox more than two years ago.
The Rangers struck the jackpot with the Belgian international, which is now one of their most appreciated advantages, and they hope that he can start and become a key player after his next talks with Martin.
