Esteban Ocon on the Max Verstappen race during his years of training

Esteban Ocon removed the curtain on how pilots like him, Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc ran during their years of training, and it was an uncompromising approach. The Dutch driver has often been referenced with the reputation of being a hard runner, where there is no compromise when you are going to drive with him.

There is, however, a reality beyond that, which is the fact that drivers like Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen and Esteban Ocon grew up together in a without compromise, where they did not give themselves an inch on the right track. As they progressed in the race categories, this style continued to be a functionality for each of them.

At the start of the Charles Leclerc-Max Verstappen battles in 2019, what stood out was the intense nature with which the two continued. Nothing was left on the table, and more often than not, the two had a lot of catchy battles where they were not willing to give in to the other driver.

Esteban Ocon has not yet had a race at the front of a grid in his career, but he was involved in very intense battles with some of his teammates. The battle between him and Fernando Alonso stands out like a where you could see how little the French driver of the French driver left.

Max Verstappen, on the part, was the first to go to F1 of the trio, and he made his mark with his uncompromising conduct. The driver sometimes found himself in certain problems but continues to support his approach, because it is something with which he grew up. In an interview with Crash.net, Esteban Ocon removed the curtain on the way he ran during his years of training, as he said,

“I think that all my life is nothing easy, I had to fight for that. So when I am on the right track, I have the same luck as everyone, I will also fight for that. But I met that there are pilots who fight stronger than me.”

He added,

“I like the difficult race. I grew up in race with max [Verstappen]Race with Charles [Leclerc]And the rule was, as soon as you are outside, you are in the gravel. So if someone is resistant, you will be pushed to the exit and “see you later”. “”

A subtle clue of Esteban Ocon on wheel battles

Last season, when Lando Norris was fighting on Max Verstappen on the right track, he reached a point where the Briton estimated that the Dutch driver was too far from the way he ran it.

There were even times when criticisms said that the Aggressive Approach from Verstappen was something that took Norris out. Esteban Ocon subtly mentioned the same thing when he talked about the next generation of runners who came after him and how they may have run a little differently. He said,

“All my generation flows like that forever, so it makes sense to us. I think this generation has a different vision of that. But that’s how we ran, the way we ran with Max forever.”

It is an interesting mixture of different generations that go to sport in different ways, but it also testifies to the way in which drivers who are raised in a certain way during their years of training end up instilling this as part of their race DNA.
