The production photo of Lanterns offers a new BTS look on Aaron Pierre as John Stewart

Showrunner and executive producer Chris Mundy (via the WBD press site) recently assured to fans that Lanterns will not “sacrifice the magic of the source material”.
“From the start, our engine was to deliver a drama in layers – rooted in a nuanced narration and a rich world building – which balances tension and mystery with an honest and authentic emotion. The goal is to create something that seems timeless and anchored without sacrificing the magic of source material. ”
Hawes (Slow horses,, Penny terrible,, The mist,, The alienist,, Snowpiecer) will direct the first two episodes.
