It has recently been revealed that Kurt Russell would join Madison As a regular series. He joined a set with Michelle Pfeiffer, Matthew Fox, Patrick J. Adams, and even more, marking first Yellowstone TV Show franchise to present any member of the Dutton family. Many details of the plot are still unknown, including the way it will connect with other programs.
Kurt Russell will probably not be in season 1 of Madison
So here is the unhappy part of Kurt Russell Madison casting that was not included in reports: it is probably not in season 1. It is an irregular situation, as Madison announced its role in the series before the first season 1, but the show has already finished filming several months ago.
Madison Shot his first season in Texas in November 2024 and finished filming in January 2025. This is entirely speculation, but I suppose that Russell had a time conflict that prevented him from appearing in season 1, which led Sheridan to save his character for later.
If Madison Season 1 lands in streaming at the beginning of 2026, season 2 will probably be at the beginning of 2027. A first date at the end of 2026 is not impossible either, since the show is already starting to film in 2025. However, there is obviously a long post-production process to consider.
