Bets define layoffs in the context of 3.5% paramount reduction to American staff

Bet will be dismissed staff members as part of the reduction of paramount at 3.5% of his American workforce, the CEO of Bet Media Group Scott Mills shared on Wednesday an internal note.
Job cuts have an impact on staff members “in areas such as linear research, finance and legal affairs and affairs”, according to the memo, as Thewrap shows.
From Wednesday, the network will implement “a rationalized organization structure” using its existing teams within the content strategy and production, programming, marketing and ideas, social impact, advertising, streaming and digital services.
Earlier this month, the CO-PDG of Paramount George Cheeks, Chris McCarthy and Brian Robbins told staff that they “give priority to investments in our growing streaming business” by reducing their 3.5%American workforce, which would have an impact on hundreds of employees. They blamed layoffs on linear drops.
The news also comes two weeks after the BET 2025 prices and in the middle of the paramount trial of $ 20 billion with President Donald Trump on CBS ’60 -minute interview with Kamala Harris.

As the CO-PDGs of Paramount have recently shared, the company takes other measures to rationalize Paramount to ensure that it is positioned for continuous success. The bet is not immune to the conditions requiring these actions, so we must also reduce staff within our organization.
Consequently, we are today implementing a rationalized organizational structure where BET will continue to exploit the functions that are at the heart of our mission, our value proposal and our leadership position on the market, including strategy and content production, programming, marketing and ideas, social impact, advertising sales, streaming and digital. At the same time, we will be more likely to take advantage of the functions of support on the scale of Paramount in fields such as linear research, finance and commercial and legal affairs.
It is a very difficult moment – the departure of talented members of the team who were large collaborators, colleagues and friends; The members of the team who have so significantly contributed to the success of BET and who share our passion for the mission and goal of BET. On behalf of everyone in Bet, I thank each of the members of our team who came out for their excellent work, their sacrifice and their lasting contributions to the inheritance of Bet.
To all my betting colleagues, I thank you for your continuous commitment to this company, with each other and the communities that we serve. We are a powerful and resilient brand, a powerful and resilient company, and above all, a powerful and resilient team. I remain confident in our collective force to continue to advance the bet.
