The president of Nintendo of America, Doug Bowser, will retire on December 31 after more than a decade in the company.
He will be succeeded by Devon Pritchard, a 19 -year -old veteran from the Nintendo video and long -standing game industry. More recently, Pritchard was executive vice-president of income, marketing and consumer experience at Nintendo of America.
“One of my first video game experiences was to play the Arcade version of Donkey Kong,” said Bowser. “Since then, everything that Nintendo has continued to be a passion for me and my family. The leader of Nintendo of America was the honor of a life, and I am proud of what our team has accomplished in the commercial results and the experiences that we have created for consumers. ”
He continued: “Now it is time for the next generation of leadership and the history of Devon speak of itself. It is an exceptional leader, and its promotion testifies to its strong performances and its strategic contributions to the growth of the company. I have fully confidence that it will guide the company to even higher summits.”
