Prime Video shared the first official teaser for the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The rings of powerthat has been running in the United Kingdom for a few months.
The promotion does not reveal much, but gives us a first vague overview of the return Elendil (Lloyd Owen), while he brandishes “the sword of the faithful”.
This sword is clearly Narsil – the blade that cut the only ring in the hand of Sauron during the war of the last alliance – so we do not know if it was renamed for the show (a rights problem, perhaps?), Or it will be called the sword of the faithful initially as a means of rallying the loyalists of Númenórean behind Elendil.
In the final of season 2, Elendil left for the West after being presented with the legendary sword as a gift of separation from Míriel.
