The Patriots cut 2022 Pick of first Tour Cole Strange after three seasons

The Chattanooga product was considered by many as a development choice of day 2 before the draft of 22 before being torn off by Belichick.

Strange started 17 games as a recruit, obtaining a PFF note in total of 54.6. After that, he played in just 13 games (12 departures) in the last two campaigns. He was treated with injuries, including a torn balloon tendon and a lower game that led to his release.

Strange, 27, played 30 games in total with 29 departures, dividing time at Guard and Center. So, with his pedigree and his experience in the first round, it is likely that he will have a second chance to prove himself, but one of the last surprises of Belichick is officially a bust for the Patriots.
