The partners of the producers of the Lycée musical on “Wukong Warrior”

The producer winner of an Emmy Bill Borden, who helped the successful franchise by Shepherd Disney “High School Musical”, joined forces with Mili Pictures de China to bring their animated feature film “Wukong Warrior” on world television and the streaming public.
Borden is the spearhead of the adaptation of The Monkey King Tale for television and streaming platforms around the world thanks to its partnership with Summit International Pictures. Although digital and linear platforms are priority, producers have not excluded theatrical tracks limited in the United States and other territories.
“Wukong Warrior” will be released in Chinese theaters in September, international buyers obtaining their first overview of MIP JR and MIPCOM from October 11 to 16 in Cannes.
The animated comedy of the action-adventure reimagine the classic Chinese tale of Sun Wukong, the warrior born in rebellious stone with cosmic powers that challenge the gods. After 500 years imprisoned under a mountain, Sun Wukong obtained a last blow to redemption: protect a Buddhist monk in a perilous journey to recover the sacred entries of India. He joined forces with a gourmet pig warrior, a demon of the painful river and a horse speaking with mysterious origins.
The film is launching a three -picture saga planned by Mili Pictures.
Borden’s involvement reports serious global ambitions for the project. His credits include the series “High School Musical”, “Kung Fu Hustle” by Stephen Chow, “Mission: Impossible 3”, “Get On The Bus” by Spike Lee and “Meet the Robinsons” by Disney.

The partnership is continuing the long -standing relationship of Borden with Mili Pictures, now improved thanks to the collaboration with Summit International Pictures. The Californian company, led by Nan Yao, specializes in the representation of the films and intellectual property of Greater China for the world public.
Disney Media Distribution veteran Todd Barasch joined Summit International to supervise global licenses outside China. Barasch, who recently worked with the producer-distributor of Los Angeles, Happy Accidents, brings a vast global experience in the distribution of content to the project.
