The Paper’s Journalism Awards: The Office Spinoff’s Dundies

In The officeThe Dundie Awards were the way Michael Scott would celebrate the branch of Scranton Dunder Mifflin. Although they are only presented in two episodes, they quickly became emblematic parts of The office With inappropriate rewards, difficult times, and more.

Even if the cast of Paper Has no exact replacement for Michael Scott – Ned Sampson is much more a Leslie Knope – he has his own version of the dundies. This is the first step to bring Paper closer to the feeling of The officeBut it can also do its own thing. From Paper Season 2 has already been confirmed, its version of the dundies can even become an annual episode.

The newspaper has proven how chaotic a prize exposure can be

One of the best games of journalism prizes in Paper It was how it was different from dundies. More specifically, journalism prices are a real event that is supposed to be high. The dundies, on the other hand, were orchestrated by Michael, and everything took place in a pepper. The configuration difference allows PaperPrices shine in different ways.

Dundies should be wild moments. It is Michael ridiculing himself in a Chile, no one takes it seriously, and the embarrassment bar is quite weak. Journalism prices, however, are a professional conference where all peers and competitors of the truth are present. When Esmeralda sings, it induces much more hits than Pam get drunk.

Journalism prizes also have new opportunities for Paper that dundies could not. Since it is a professional award ceremony, there are real awards, a section in memory and speeches of serious journalists. All these main opportunities for characters like Esmeralda and Ken to put their feet in their mouths in the most hilarious way possible.

The place of journalism prizes itself is also a big change. Unlike a Chile’s, journalism Awards took place in a hotel conference room. If it becomes an annual episode, Paper Can put its distribution in all kinds of absurd situations that dundies could never provide. We have already seen Ned, Mare and Esmeralda crush a marriage, and who knows what future events will occur at the same time as the prices of journalism.
