The owner of the Epic Tim Sweeney Blast ‘BS’ report suggesting the mysterious Disney mode of Fortnite hindered by the slow decision

Tim Sweeney, Patron of Epic Games, denied complaints published by the Wall Street Journal of Frustration within the company concerning his working relationship with Disney.

Yesterday, a WSJ report offered new details on the mysterious Disney fashion to come from Fortnite, developed after the investment of 1.5 billion dollars of the latter in epic games. The offer will not be launched before “fall 2026 at the earliest”, said the report, some epic leaders complaining of “the slow pace of decision -making in Disney, with signs necessary for so many different divisions”.

It is this assertion that Sweeney has now refuted, via an article on social networks that marks the suggestion of “BS”.

“The anonymous quote is BS,” wrote Sweeney. “The speed of Disney and Epic collaborations like Dark Vader was great and is about 10 times the ordinary speed of relations with media companies in this company. We have even provided a declaration to the author of this article by saying, but they chose not to print it.”

The great collaboration of Disney of Epic Games was announced in February 2024, although the details on this subject remained largely underlying. The initial conceptual illustrations for the project presented a virtual Disneyland style environment, with hubs on the theme of the main brands of Disney. However, it remains to be seen exactly what players will do there.

WSJ’s report indicates that the project is supervised within Disney by Josh of Amaro, Disney Parks and Resorts chief, who visited Sweeney and spent time hiking with the CEO. An alleged concern around the project was its elements created by fans, with questions raised on who could legally have a dance that uses Disney characters.

Epic Games and Disney have forged a deep collaboration in recent years, with Marvel and Star Wars on the theme of seasons, and countless characters now available under the name of Skins Fortnite, including a selection of pixar films, and even Disney Classic Animation, too.

Companies have recently used Fortnite to test a Dark Vader propelled by AI, which could chat with players using a generative discourse. During the launch, the concept required an urgent solution after the fans quickly made Dark Vader said things that he should not, although more than 10 million players spoke with the Sith Lord.

This week sees Fortnite going to his next season, which sees his main battle of royal infested with mutant bugs, and additional halo characters brought to help. Meanwhile, in the OG mode of the game, the action moves in the beloved season 5 of Fortnite, which should see the appearance of Kevin the Cube-although Epic Games do fun things with the scenario of this recovery, so perhaps not.
