Updated Vancouver Canucks injury report after Brock Boeser left last game with lower body illness

The Vancouver Canucks are one of the most injured teams in the league, with nine players suffering from illnesses.
Brock Boeser is the latest to join the Canucks’ long injury list. Boeser suffered a lower body injury after taking a slap shot to the lower abdomen during Thursday’s game against the St. Louis Blues. It is currently considered day to day.
Quinn Hughes was also absent for the Canucks. He is dealing with a lower-body injury and is expected to return to the lineup on November 1. Conor Garland suffered an undisclosed injury during Tuesday’s game against the Rangers and is expected to be out until at least November 5.
Defenseman Derek Forbort and forward Teddy Blueger are dealing with undisclosed injuries. both are expected to be out until at least November 5.
Other players missing from the Vancouver Canucks due to injuries include Filip Chytil (upper body), Victor Mancini (upper body), Jonathan Lekkerimäki (undisclosed) and Nils Höglander (lower body).
With the exception of Höglander (out until at least December), all players could return to the lineup during the first week of November.
Vancouver Canucks beat St. Louis Blues in shootout
The Vancouver Canucks beat the St. Louis Blues 4-3 in a shootout on Thursday to earn their first win of a three-game road trip.
Dylan Holloway opened the scoring for the Blues, giving them a 1-0 lead at 3:23 of the first period. Kiefer Sherwood tied it 1-1 for the Canucks with a power play goal at 13:08.
In the second period, Jimmy Snuggerud restored the Blues’ lead to 2-1 after just 58 seconds. Sherwood scored their second goal of the match to tie it 2-2 before the match ended.
At 7:04 of the third period, Sherwood completed his hat trick to give the Canucks a 3-2 lead. Pius Suter scored on the power play to tie the game 3-3 at 10:48. After a scoreless overtime, Vancouver took the upper hand in the shootout.
The Canucks improved to 6-6-0. They will face the Minnesota Wild next Saturday.
